Title: Vmf Fuzz Experiment: volume problems
Post by: DS-1 on April 07, 2008, 02:48:06 AM
HI, I've build this amazing fuzz posted by Dragonfly, but I'd like to know if there's any chance to have a full fuzz sound turning down the Volume. I've noticed, infact, that the fuzz sound isn't the same at full volume or at half volume. I need this because my VMF sound terrible higher,at max volume, than the clean sound. Thanks in advance.

So are you trying to have it at max or close to max volume with less gain/fuzz? i'm not exactly sure what you're asking for? also could you explain more about how it sounds because mine sounds great at any volume. i'm wondering if you don't have a little mistake somewhere? rylan

The fuzz itself is not effected by the volume knob, so if youre not getting lots of fuzz UNTIL the volume knob is turned up, then something is wrong with your build.

It's exactly what seems to happen to my fuzz. If I turn the volume knob down a bit, the sound is always big and distorted, but not as much as with the volume knob all the way up. If you tell me that the fuzz is not affected by the volume knob, maybe it's a question of amp volume or there's something wrogn with my build. I'll try to check these options, thanks anyway!!!
