Found it at a used book store today. It's very basic, I know most of the things presented in the book, but it was worth the $12 because it presents it all in one place, and it's very simple, basic, etc. It's from 1974... Basically it explains how instruments were "electricized" so that they could be amplified, and goes on to explain how the first totally electric musical instruments, a la theremins and synthesizers, are made and created. Then, the best part, there's a chapter of effects pedal theory... Mostly we have Tremolo and Vibe's, but it dabbles in Fuzz and Phasers. Cool book. I'd recommend it for someone getting started... or someone who wants to understand more things in terms of microphones, accordians, and what have you... good to have it all in one place.

I believe I've also read that book (a year ago or so) and also found it very interesting, especially for the ~$12 price tag.
