Title: 2 BSIAB Schematics: Why Are They Different...?
Post by: railhead on May 10, 2008, 11:33:30 AM
I was checking out GGG's (http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=105&Itemid=26) and Gaussmarkov's (http://gaussmarkov.net/wordpress/circuits/brown-sound-in-a-box-ii-bsiab2/) BSIAS2 schematics, and I see that M placed D1 to ground, and added C2 to the 9v+ supply.

The original BSIAB2 schematic at GGG has D1 inline with R4/R5/C2, and it does not go to ground.

Why did M do this? Power filtering/protection?
