Title: B. Blender question
Post by: esurreal on August 24, 2008, 07:06:13 AM
I have built Aron's Hott Fuzz and love it. I am trying to add the B.Blender circuit into the hot Fuzz enclosure as a clean blend. My question is how do I wire the blender to be used within the hott fuzz pedal rather than a separate pedal. In other words, instead of the send and return jacks, how would I connect the input/output with wire. thanks!

You want to skip the jacks/plugs/jacks to a different fuzz or effect box and have the BBlender 'built in with' [hardwired].
The send and return and effect and BBlend will all have a common ground [ie need to be Gnd.d.]
The send connects to the effect input.
The return connects to the effect output.
  That's it ?

If you want the hot fuzz wired permanently to the b.blender just connect the hot fuzz input wire to where it says send (where the 10u cap and 470k resistor join) and connect the out to the return (the 0.1u cap).

Then the b.blender IN and OUT go to your stompswitch.

EDIT: or what Pete said :)

Thanks for your help! I got it working but the fuzz wasnt as fuzzy as it was before. Even with the blend knob turned all the way to the fuzz side. I already took it out and may use the the components to build the stand alone version of the blender. yeah, or maybe just build a pedal. too many options :icon_eek:
