Title: Umble to DR Boogie
Post by: AndyG on January 29, 2009, 11:05:07 AM
I built a umble not my cup of tea. I was thinking how hard would it be to chang it to a dr boogie.

My personal opinion is that you would be better off building a Dr. Boogey from scratch rather than try to mod an Umble to it.  I have built both, and if you want to take the Umble almost completely apart for parts, you can, but it takes quite a bit of time, and be prepared for some parts to die in the process (FET's if not socketed, ceramic caps, etc.).

I am going to be laid up for a while and although I don't need either pedal at this time I am going to have a lot of time on my hands.
This is something I have that I can tinker with.

Let me change the question a bit. What could I change this circuit to that doesn't have the irratating highs that this pedal has?
