Some new ugly face clips. I didn't use a JRC386. I used an opamp as a comparator to create square wave. I tried it with a couple of different op amps. TL072, MCP602, 1458. Take a listen.

Nice quack and also 'limited' sounding background noise.
112 alien hits.
dude those clips sound great, tell us more about what you added.
A+
Not really my kind of thing, but I would consider building that just for kicks. Kinda like a Scrambler. It yours much different from a standard Ugly Face?
love to hear this thing with the LFO mod.
The TLO72 sounds quite evil.
I'm curious what you have for this schematically.
Please let us know.
thanks

I'll post a schem when I get home from work. If you google "opamp as comparator" or something, I am sure you'll see examples. I just replaced the LM386 with a copmarator. No other changes were made. I think the tl072 seems cooler because I did a dive bomb at the end of the clip. I have come to the conclusion that the orginal LM386 sounds the best.
If i woke up in the night, and heard these sounds coming out of nowhere, i would certainly draw the conclusion that an alien invasion was on the move, then go back to sleep.
Seriously though, this thing sounds wicked. I've always looked at it as a Fuzz Face deriviate, but it doesn't sound like one! ;D
