I used tonepads offboard wiring http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=76  page 3., and this schematic (http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/milltbbx.gif)

to make a Millenium Bypass  w/ DPDT switch for my Tube Fuzz box I made about a year ago.  I just can't get it to work.   I ended up letting the smoke out of the 2N5485.  I'm also using the perfboard board. Any guidance would be appreciated.  

On my 2N5485 I'm assuming the "source" goes to the input voltage but what about the "drain" Ground? and "gate" to Control since it's the Regulated V? Forgive my lack of knowledge on FET's first time really dealing with them.
