Title: Triple throw switch options (SP3T, DP3T)?
Post by: Taylor on August 14, 2009, 12:22:12 AM
I'm looking for an SP3T switch, toggle preferred, but a small rotary would be fine. Of course, DP3T would be fine too; I could just leave one set of lugs unconnected. I found lots of switches which claim to be DP3T, but in fact they are just DPDTs which connect the poles to both throws in the center (for guitars, to give you bridge/both/neck pickup combinations).

There are plenty of slide switches, but cutting openings for these is pretty time-consuming. I have some of the Alpha/Lorlin rotary switches, which can do SP3T easily, but the bodies are rather large to allow for all the poles I won't be using, and space is at a premium in this box.

Anyone know of a reasonably priced (maybe <$3) triple throw switch that's not gigantic?

This switch that smallbear sells for the sansamp is a true dp3t.
