Title: 12v power adapter
Post by: bassmannate on September 06, 2009, 07:52:19 AM
Well, I just noticed that the 12v power supply I was going to get for my valvecaster http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Visual-Sound-1-SPOT-Power-Adaptor-for-Wireless-?sku=151693 is tip positive. I know I can just swap the wires in my pedal to make it compatible since I have an insulated power jack, but it would be kinda nice to keep it the standard tip negative.

Is there another good 12v power supply that is tip negative or am I just being too anal about it and should I just swap the wires on the power jack? I like this one because I've heard just great things about how silent it is.

Personally, I would just swap the wires on the DC socket and not worry about it :)

Alright. I guess I just too much of a perfectionist about this kind of stuff. I'll loosen up a bit and swap the wires.   :icon_mrgreen:

I suppose the other thing you could do is replace the DC jack on the adaptor and wire it centre negative.
