Title: Long Threaded Toggle Switches?
Post by: studiostud on September 22, 2009, 05:20:16 PM
Hey everyone,

Maybe one of you can help me out.  I'm looking for a DPDT toggle switch that I can use on my guitar.  The problem is that, in order to mount it, I need one that has a thread bushing that is longer than 3/8" because that is the thickness of the wood.  Anyone know where I can purchase one?

Thanks!

Jeff

stewmac.com (http://stewmac.com)  has a good collection of overpriced, but guitar specific electronics, lots of long threaded everything.

Digikey carry a couple with 12mm bushings. http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?lang=en&site=US&WT.z_homepage_link=hp_go_button&KeyWords=360-1829-ND&x=25&y=22

There's always the option of thinning out the area in the control cavity where the switch is mounted.
