Search dont show anything satisfactory.
How about a Marshall guvnor clone, They are good and the circuit is open to east mods that you could try.
I would try to make a Serch Bhaar, they are quite smart little devices.

Finally thanks to Daniel for great sounding distortion.
Crunch Box! I've built both the burning crunch and the crunch box (and the guv'nor) and to me, the crunch box does that loud cranked Marshall sound the best. I was going for a Zakk Wylde type tone when I built them so that's what I'm basing it off of. The burning crunch is nice but to my ears is just a tiny bit harsh/metallic. Maybe its just mine, I dunno.
i add 10n cap to ground before volume pot to the burning crunch to take some of that fizz away..

Was this on your original layout from awhile back? The PCB with your cool demon horned face avatar in the corner? Thats the one I used to build my burning crunch.
yes, and no... i put the cap right on the volume pot (lug 1 & 3), so, the cap is there, but not in the layout..i put it after i built it, because i was getting, as you, too much fizz..the cap made a nice smoothing and got better low end..(at the cost of some output volume, but, there are plenty of it, anyway)

Ah! I will try that then, thank you! Is the cap there on the pedal in the youtube clip?
yes indeed!
Nice video, but it doesn't cover all the sounds we should expecting with different tone settings...

You know your Texas Brownie seems to have that warm and crunchy Marshallish tone. Care to share any details about it?
I will post clips of my one. If i can complete that.

Burning Crunch from my pcb layout. Pcb tranfer, etching and drilling are complete. Soldering component and assembling is left.

well, to be honest, i don´t like sharing that specific desing openly. You can send me an email and i can share the schem with you, but i wouldn´t like it to be published or used for selling.
Basically, the idea is a JCM 800 emu (similar to BSIAB) with muamps with a simple TS type booster in the front.

Like dui distortion ?
exactly, but the tone controls are different

can please u give a bit of idea on tone controls. Just normal passive Fender/Marshall/Vox, buffered or baxandall.

Kind of hesitate to post this on a stompbox forum but after spending 2 years trying the get "the tone" from a pedal I finally gave up and built a Marshall 50watt clone. First time I've been happy with my tone in about 25 years, when I played my friends 50w. Was worried about the volume but with PPIMV using single 12" it really isn't that loud to get a great sound. Rat works really good with it also for lower volumes. Got board from Ceriatone, transformers from Triode and odds and ends from Apexjr and tubes and more, as I got the cash; wasn't cheap but really wasn't that expensive either. With info on the net I think it's easer than building a pedal just because of the size factor. Just take simple precautions with the high voltage, basically drain filter caps (easy) before mods and only one hand in amp while checking voltages. In my opinion it blows away all of the pedals I've tried, and I've tried quite a few. Not telling you to do it, just sharing my experience with the search.

That is why used Marshall **LIKE* crunch/overdrive not exactly Marshall sound. I know only tube can do that.

I tried this out this weekend and the cap did make a noticeable difference. Thanks!
