Title: Ruby sounds much better with treble bleed cap on volume pot
Post by: Top Top on July 30, 2010, 08:47:16 AM
I have noticed that every amp I've built with a volume pot on the front always sounds like crap/treble suck below 50% volume setting.

Today looking at the ruby page on runoffgroove I noticed the suggestion about putting a treble bleed cap across lugs 2&3 of the volume pot. I did it and it is so much better. Highly suggested for anyone who builds one and doesn't run it full blast all the time.

It also sounded much better to me with a 100K pot instead of the 10k suggested for the input volume.
