Title: 2 in 1 pedal - tubescreamer + mosfet boost
Post by: Al Heeley on August 15, 2010, 07:08:20 PM
Current project is putting 2 pedals in 1 enclosure - linking together a modded tubescreamer with a mosfet boost - you can go for TS808 overdrive/distortion or switch in some boost to have clean on its own or to solo boost the tubescreamer pedal when both are activated - that's the plan.
Question is, which way round in the signal chain wiring would work best? Tubescreamer before MosFet or Mosfet before Tubescreamer?

If you plan to have just a little kick and not use its max cruched gain, I'd say MB goes second. Or maybe it's max gain too...
I'd do it that way...

Trust me, you want both! Check out geofex's juggler or beavis's order switcher. Just need a 3pdt toggle.

Here's the wiring for the juggler:

and a 2 in one with no order switcher:
