Hi guys,
just put an RS order together, but stuck on two things......wire and pots!
the wire i normally get its Single Core 1/06mm, and I buy it by the meter, just would like to order a larger size reel from RS, but cant find the right stuff?
And the only pots I can find are twice the price as anywhere else.....where the cheap ones!?!?!

don't know about the wire (I buy local), but pots:

[shipping will almost double the cost, but still low]

[lower when you buy a bunch since shipping is fixed, but the wait is long]
good luck

I tend to order a fair bit from RS.......
......... except pots.
Usually end up putting together a maplins order made up of a variety of these.

Work well once they're fixed solidly, but don't like being abused or overheated. The solder pins are rivetted to the carbon tracks and too much soldering heat for too long or movement/bending and they start failing. But for a quid and if your careful when building, they do the job.
Alpha 16mm pots, all less than 70p each here:

Loads of useful bits stocked. Been meaning to place some orders here.
Just out of curiosity, who is RS? Not familiar with that one.

Radio Spares

One of the biggest, but really not that good for pedal stuff......I find Rapid www.rapidonline.com to do more stuff we actually use day to day.
RS are great ...& free postage if you open an account with them.
Place an order upto 4.30pm it's with me the next morning....can't go wrong.
But some parts (like pots!) are better bought elsewhere.
