Title: Found an old wall wart lying around...
Post by: Celery_Strat on February 23, 2011, 02:23:22 PM
It says "message minder", so I'm assuming it is from an old answering machine.   It is 120 vAC in and, 9vAC out.  Being a "don't throw away anything electronic" kind of fella, I decided to toss this together (http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj165/pearlbeater/Rectify.gif) and splice it into the output cord.  I get 8.9 vAC at the input, 12.2 vDC out at 3.2 amps.  Just thought I'd share!  :icon_mrgreen: I assume the voltage increase is normal / caused by the rectification???
