Title: Noise gate
Post by: Rigel on May 05, 2011, 08:32:13 AM
Hello guys! :D While I was building the booster on this forum,i came up with an ideea:what about a noise gate that consists of transistor switching??I mean:when the gate receives signal from the guitar,it switches a transistor on and allows that signal comming from the collector pass trough the emiter. Also, there can be added a Treshold pot.Look what I tought about:(http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/6462/capturecyx.jpg) (http://img717.imageshack.us/i/capturecyx.jpg/)

If you guys manage to do something for equaling the input output voltage please let me know. Thanks!

You can't use an AC source directly as a means of determining volume, it's constantly swinging positive and negative. I wouldn't trust your circuit simulator too much with this! :)
