Title: building a twin pedal need some input
Post by: bobodechimp on June 01, 2011, 09:56:28 PM
here's the skinny. I have a 8x5x3 stainless steel box just screaming to have some guts added. I was going to just put a red llama in her but thats a rather large foot print for a single overdrive/fuzz. so i was going to add another effect. I want to see what yinz all think i should add to this bad boy, and help out with name and graphic. I know it doesn't mater what a pedal looks like but hay it's a custom job go big or go home right. i would really like to keep it to kits only, because i'm lazy and a scratch build is a little out of my skill level right now. but if an idea comes alone thats just to cool. then i might have to give it a whirl. I was thinking either a tube screamer making it a screaming llama. Or a orange squeeze making it  a well idon't know what it would be, any ways ideas and layout would be neto. on a side note has any buddy used the Dupli-Color® Metalcastâ„¢ Anodized Color paint yet?

I'm a big fan of running a TS into a CMOS distortion, so the Screaming Llama sounds like a good idea to me!

you know i haven't even got the kit yet to make project one and i am all ready thinking about project two, a rog flipster. what the hell is wrong with me. Is it true that building effects is like heroin.

I'm thinking of putting a boost, a TS-10, and a DS-1, into the one enclosure and calling it the Screaming Orange.

you know now that i think about it puting a comp and a cmos together wouldn't be the best idea it would limit my rig. iwouldn't be abel to run any thing prior to the cmos and after the comp without  an FX-loop and thats just over complicating things so now that i flip floped like a fish i think i will go with my first idea of the screeming llama. on a side note what does any body think of the rog flippster?
oh i like the screaming orange idea if you can come up with a good know layout. I always thought to many knobs looks silly if not done right.
