Title: Zvex Sho clone help

I built a zvex sho and bypass signal is fine, but effect on, its just the bypassed signal, but i can hear afaint crackle when turning the knob. Any ideas?

tried that, still no boost, also tried new mosfet. gaahhhh!!!!!!!!!

check all solder joints, look for shorts/solder bridges, check the orientation of the output cap (+ should be towards junction of Q1 drain and drain resistor), try another mosfet, check orientation of protection diodes.
