Title: need help with ts-808
Post by: slim_blues_boy on November 27, 2011, 02:19:24 AM
hello, I made a ts-808 recently, and it didn't work :(.
I build it in very sleepy condition (haven't sleep for 2 days), so I must be making mistake somewhere. I tried to find the mistake, but I felt really tired at this moment so I just keep and keep can't find where is the mistake.
voltage on first transistor and IC seems fine, but for the last transistor seems wrong. 9v at collector and around 6&6.5v at base and emiter.
could someone tell me where is my mistake?

many thanks!

btw, I build it using torchy vero layout.

Staying up too much for one, these circuits know and take advantage with interest for any sleep deficits.
Nothing should be able to pass the suspect transistors bias...for a reason I don't know that needs resolution afaict.
Once that transistor is made to be working..
Try the audio probe for a while and see how far signal gets into/through the circuit path.

I took a rest and once I had enough sleep. I just spot the problems.
the first one is bad layout (I'm using modified torchy's layout btw).
and the second one, I forgot to install the C1  :o !!!!
well, next time I build something, I will build when I had enough rest time.
thank you or your advise.
