Title: Transistor Voltage Problems - Big Muff - Corrected post
Post by: killerkev on March 25, 2012, 09:53:11 PM
Howdy! Have a problem here with a Big Muff Pi. The first two transistor stages have high voltages on the collector and low on the base. Q1 & Q2 are pretty much the same C- 7.5,  B- 0.15,  E- 0.01. I've check continutity around each stage to make sure my solder joints were good. Also checked the resistors going to ground but the voltages are still high. The coupling caps seem to be doing their job by blocking the DC. Been back and forth on this. Any suggestions? Wondering what is a the usual cause for having a too high voltages coming off the collector. Thanks!

Read and follow "Debugging: What to do when it doesn't work".
