Title: Big Muff DC Jack Replacement
Post by: Ofek Deitch on March 26, 2012, 01:36:50 PM
Hi everybody :)

Today I decided that I want to change the Big Muff's DC jack to a standard Boss DC jack.
My question is if doing this only requires me to desolder the wires the are soldered to the jack, then make the hole a bit larger using my drill, and then just re-wire the wires to the new jack?

This is the jack that's installed right now:

And these are the the Boss ones I've ordered:

Sounds about right to me. Where are the two red wires going?

The two red wires should be the +9v lines (to board and battery).

Should be a simple swap.

Ok thanks ! I was just making sure I'm not ruining my pedal... :)

Not unless there is some special reason to get white ones, or unless they are white because they are ceramic or something, but those look exactly like the ones I get from Tayda for 19 cents.
