Title: Cathedral Reverb Pedal popping noise help
Post by: Thrasherroth on August 15, 2012, 04:56:59 PM
Hey everyone, Im new here and I have a problem that needs to be addressed. You guys know a lot about the components in guitar pedals so It will be more helpful to tech-blind musicians. I have a Cathedral Digital Revrb pedal. Its great, except that the hall channel makes this strange delayed popping noise in the background. The pop isn't that intrusive but it gets distracting. Its not speaker pop, I tried it on two different amps. I also notice that when the pre-delay knob is turned up the guitar delays, and then a loud reverby screech happens. I used different cables and tried the pedal in a chain and by itself. There was a night where a little bit of water got on the outside of the pedal case, but didn't go in. I soaked it in rice to try to get rid of any moisture that may be in there. Could this be an issue concerning a bad part? I appreciate any replies.
