Title: Robot Voice Schematic
Post by: timd on January 28, 2013, 07:09:07 PM
Petey Twofinger found and shared this with me:

http://www.experimentalistsanonymous.com/diy/Schematics/Oscillators%20LFOs%20and%20Signal%20Generators/Simple%204016%20Robo%20Voice.gif

Its a schematic for a "Robovox"

Looks interesting, but I need to order that chip. Has anyone seen or tried this?

Robot voice...I assume its a ring modulator? Its interesting to note that you can turn it into a tremolo too. Could it be similar to the Thing with the 567 chip?

Any thoughts or anyone willing to try this on a breadboard despite the "warning"?

Thanks for all the additional links. After reading through some of this, it looks like we might have a flawed circuit.
