Title: Has anyone build a looper out of an arduino + rugged audio shield?

I mean it looks pretty easy. The code is on the Page already. I understand most of it even though I havent coded for years.. And all you would need to solder is a couple of Footswitches and a blendpot for Overdub...
Has anyone done this before?
I mostly wonder about the time it takes to write to sd card:
RAS.WaitForIdle();
How long does this take? I'm guessing there will be a couple of ms delay between recording and playback (which most loopers have, just a question of how much).
Could be the easiest way to get a cheap and high quality Midi synced looper...
