Title: Audio Codec used in Jamman
Post by: wcraffonara on September 03, 2013, 02:59:24 AM
Hi,
what audio codec IC is used in the Digitech Jamman? I know that a Analog Devices Sharc DSP was used on the first version of the Jamman. Maybe somebody can post some pictures of the PCB.

Thank you very much!

I might open mine up if I can find it.  Really surprised that a DSP was used in a looper.  Seems vast overkill.

DSP and codec (ADC+DAC) are absolutely different devices.

In the JamMan Delay the CS42528 is used as codec and the AT91SAM9G45 is used as DSP.
