I came across Mr. Black's Supermoon pedal (http://proguitarshop.com/mr-black-supermoon-modulated-reverb.html) and was very intrigued, so I'm curious if anyone has suggestions for DIY alternatives. From what I understand it is a modulated reverb capable of very long tails, but maybe there is some other custom stuff going on.
I've looked at General Guitar Gadget's D-VERB digital reverb project (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTFmZLeULpw), but it doesn't seem like quite what I'm looking for. I already have a pretty sweet, but gentle, spring reverb built into my tube amp, and am really looking for something super heavy that can give me atmospheric/cave-like reverb for post-rock style playing (Explosions in the Sky, God is an Astronaut, Godspeed You Black Emperor, etc).
Already planning to build an Echo Base delay (http://www.madebymike.co.uk/echobase.shtml), which may be able to accommodate some of the sway/modulation effects of the Supermoon, but I still really need a super-heavy reverb unit.
Any suggestions?

should do you, with an echobase too... 8)
Looks perfect!
Do you have some source files for the PCB design, or an etched PCB for sale? I don't have time to go through the home-etching process, and would much rather use a low-cost service like OSH Park or Seeed's Studios Fusion PCB, which would take care of etching, drilling and through-plating everything for me.
i was looking for info on the supermoon- cant find any gutshots or anything- is it belton brick based? i didnt think there was anyway to control the modulation on the belton modules, but the supermoon has modulation control
I remembet seeing that it was dsp based and that they built their own algorithms for it rather than using existing, but can't remember the source of that info.
+1 on the Chasm. Can get really huge and imparts a very nice tone. Love it!
