Title: Boss CS-3 issue
Post by: Ultrakd on January 14, 2015, 02:30:23 PM
I have a boss CS-3 that I have been having problems with recently. It's not having power issues like is the typical problem. But the switch has to be held down a little bit for signal to pass through. Do you think the momentary switch could be going bad?

Also it does not pass sound when the pedal is off

I'd check if the switch wiring is ok first.

As it does not pass sound when the pedal is off, Q5 is either faulty or the control signal though R19 and D7. I'd check the latter first before changing Q5. Check if the dc voltage changes at either end of R19 when you switch on and off.
