My pedal chain ends with a dod eq fx42b and sound great on mic mixer input, however not enough gain to feed audiocard input. Is there anything i can mod inside pedal to achieve enough gain ? I tried to upload schematic without fortune but fx40 its already available on net. Any suggestion ?
Once more. If i should build a separate preamp i would prefer something with 9v supply and capable to drive headphone
Thank you everyone
You can try turning the output buffer into an amplifier. On the FX40, it looks like you'll increase R31 from 10K to something like 33K, maybe more.
Ive got a schematic and layout for a redesigned Craig Anderton Directo-Matic If you would like it shout out. Its a recording preamp with line level out and guitar or effects input and a parrallel input so you can go to an amp too.
Includes phase switching and ground lift too.
That circuit sounds very useful. I wouldn't mind if you could post it or send it my way.

You've gotta delete the http:// for that to work, but when it does, almost all the verticle lines are gone and the schematic is completely illegible (on my screen anyway). Is it just me?
