Title: Zoom G2nu homeade footswitch
Post by: PeterPan on April 08, 2016, 03:23:36 PM
I tried using a standard momentary contact button to make a foot-switch for my Zoom G2NUm pedal. When I set the global options to use the foot-switch to turn on the built in drums (RHYTHM setting), I noticed that the drums would toggle on or off when I release the pedal rather than when I depress it. This just doesn't work for me, since the idea is to start drums on the beat, when I hit the switch (not when I let go). I can get a momentary NC switch I guess, but they are harder to come by and I'd have to order one somewhere. So I was hoping there would be a configuration setting to reverse its operation. Nope... I couldn't find one. But when I wrote to ZOOM about it, they said they could not duplicate the behavior I described, and invited me to return the pedal for service. Well it doesn't make sense they couldn't duplicate it unless they just didn't understand what I was saying, or there is a hidden undocumented setting I changed by accident. Does anyone know the truth?
