Title: Mutron BiPhase - Expression pedal
Post by: PMowdes on February 07, 2017, 08:57:49 AM

Hi All
I've been looking over the schematics and gutshots of the Mutron BiPhase here

http://www.crazy-patroche.com/article-mu-tron-biphase-musitronic-plans-et-clonage-108652497.html

Question I have is how and where on the control board schematic are the connections to the expression pedal?  They seem to be missing from the schematic and I can't figure out where they need to go.   If they aren't there it kinda makes Switch 2 redundant doesn't it?

Cheers

Phil

hello and welcome, PMowdes. it looks very much like the lower left hand corner - "PEDAL IN J6-1" - which also appears to not be shown, is the expression pedal input.

Thanks,

After a bit more digging I think I have the missing part of the puzzle.  Looks like the schematic is wrong with respect to the pin out on J6.

It should be
J6-1    +15V decoupled
J6-2    expression pedal in (this is incorrectly labelled J6-1 on the schematic)
J6-3    Phaser A switch
J6-4    Phaser B switch
J6-5    Ground

there's a expression pedal schematic here http://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?t=14002&p=162986

"here" is the place with no name, place-non-grata, my foreign language is non- existant, but they don't allow us to link to the site that shall not be named.

but we all know where "http://www.....org" refers to when we see it.
