Did any of you try this or similar?

Basically, it's liquid latex?
It works, but...

It's almost as much trouble as hand painting in the first place - although the final spray finish should be better than hand work.

You need to peel it off before the spray paint has hardened or the edges can crack/peel or leave annoying slivers of mask. Meaning that handling it while the finish is still wet is tricky.

Peeling it off isn't always easy since you need to get under it - without damaging the surface!

If you can also use masking tape for the largest/regular shaped areas to be masked, it can help a lot. Give you dry areas to handle it by. Removing the tape will give a good start to lifting the mask.

I've used it but not enough to get proficient in applying it. I much prefer cutting stencils from frisket film, low tack and semi transparent.

This was years ago and first attempt with the liquid frisket. With the liquid yoy have to be quick applying as it dries in a hurry and to try to rework with fresh liquid you end up pulling off whats dried.

Used liquid frisket, frisket film and waterslide decals.
