I have three questions.
1. How can I wire up an LED to indicate when the pedal is activated/ on bypass.
2. What does "to mil bypass" mean? The wire that connects to the top right lug of the footswitch is labeled as such. Is this where I wire to my LED? If so which leg of the LED.
3. What about wiring to a DC adaptor input? How can I do this?

If you use a DPDT switch, questions 1 and 2 have the same answer: http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/millenium/millen.htm (http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/millenium/millen.htm). Or you can use a 3PDT, so you don't need to use the millenium bypass.

I'm not great with schematics so let me see if I'm understanding this right for the DPDT bypass option:
It looks like I connect a 4.k res to both legs of the LED, then also a 1k res to the positive leg, ... nope now I'm lost. Got a wiring layout version of this instead of schematic?

awesome guys. one last question. Can I use a 2n3904 instead of a 2n5484 transistor?
2n3904 is an npn bjt.
2n5458 is an n channel jfet.
Best use the fet.

Or use a 3PDT, so you won't need to use the millenium bypass. On the layout you've linked, input is the 2nd wire starting from left, and output is the 2nd wire starting from right. The resistor for the led on the diagram I've linked is a 4.7K.
Without knowing the circuit. I should say they used a MB because there was an issue.

After having built the milinium bypass just to try it, I have discovered that I don;t understand how to wire it properly into the whole damn thing. I keep shorting the circuit. So I guesss I will be switching to a 3pdt. Wish me luck. Wish i had a wiring diargram for that too.

that wiring schem will work no prob.
get 3pdts they are pretty cheap nowadays. like $2 a piece.
also, if you already did the easyvibe pcb make sure the copper traces are clean, that pcb in particular has thin traces that, if the "acid" didnt clean properly, they will short and the pedal wont fire and youll get an ulcer because of all the rage youll get trying to fix it :icon_mrgreen:

I'm so frustrated with The Depths... that I'm thinking in take off all the components in the board, and build this one (or don't deal anymore with ldr's and build the Trivibe...)

Ok. One last little question. with the wiring for the 3pdt switch I posted above, i noticed the red battery 9v lead goes directly into the 3pdt. So how do I incorporate the dc input wiring? Do I just put two wires into the pcb 9v joint and run one to the led and the other to the top of the dc input jack?

That should work if you're able to stick 2 wires into the PCB. I usually double up at the switch instead, because the hole is bigger.

Yes'm. That's the normal way, to cut the battery off when external power is plugged in. Make sure you get those lugs correct so you don't accidentally cut off the board and run external power to the battery instead, that would end badly.
Can someone check ou tthe john hollis easy vibe link at the top of this thread and tell me the following. I'm confused.
1. where is the input on the circuit board
2. where is the output of circuit board?
3. where is the ground of circuit board?

Appears to have 2 ground pads, take your pick or use both, top left corner and top right corner.
Input appears to be 2nd pad from top left.
Output appears to be 2nd pad from top right.
Anyone else see it that way?
