Hi Anthonie,
I finally got around to taking a look at the Zombie last night. I desoldered pin 4 from pin 5 on the MN3007 (well NTE1641 for me :) ) and realized I was gonig to have to find a spot to grab 1 V from. My bench is a disaster (working around my latest tube amp project) and there's no room to frig round with teeny circuits at the moment...so I threw it back in my "projects" box in disgust. :)
Actually my pedal sounds good aside from the background hiss. I have no LFO ticking, but the noise is intolerable. I think I'm just going to build the Tonepad Small Clone - I've heard nothing but good things about that project. Oh, one thing I noticed - pins 4 & 5 of the BBD are tied together on the Small Clone, too... I don't even really like chorus pedals so I don't know why I'm bothering. :)
One thing I do like is that Wiggler that EH is selling right now - fantastic job! Is that based on any "classic" amp circuit or is it strictly your own creation?

Cool - thanks for the info! I'm thinking of building a standalone trem/vibrato unit (that'll look like a mini guitar head) and was wondering if I should go the whole nine yards and make it a tube phase shifter. I guess if you're making a true pitch-bending vibrato, mixing in "straight" signal is all it takes to make a phaser. :) Do you yourself use more than two stages? I kinda like the sound of the Phase 45...

Must be one of: the phase splitter version of phasing ala univibe and before that the Magnatone vibrato or the dual-band alternating hi/low tremolo as in the Fender Concert and a couple of others. I did a phase splitter tube phaser version of the univibe a ways back. Both of those are pretty easily per/converted to vibrato/tremolo/phasish sound.
