Title: Feedback Looper with Momentary Switch that reverses effect of latching switch?
Post by: seten on January 21, 2019, 06:14:19 PM

I got the schematic off someone who wanted a normal looper that has a momentary switch that either turns the loop on when the latching switch is off or turns the loop off when the latching switch is on. The guy hadn't tested it but it seems to me that it would work. I'm wondering if my crude drawings are all I would need to add a feedback loop to the whole shebang. I'm a little confused because every schematic I've seen for a feedback looper doesn't connect the return tip directly to the spdt switch but rather to the lug on the stomp switch that is connected to the return jack when the switch is engaged. Why do people do this and is it necessary on my build?

(also, if someone could double check the original schematic that would be wonderful. the 3pdt is the latching switch and the 4pdt is the momentary. Not sure if this is how it always is drawn but it appears that the lower set of lugs is connected when the latching switch is engaged but the top set of lugs is connected when the momentary switch is engaged. Maybe he just messed up when he was drawing the schematic; again he hadn't actually tested it.)

No labels on anything - you really want to make us work eh?  ;) Which jacks are which? And your description is a little confusing - feedback is normally just running output back to input - how does a loop apply here? Are you feeding the output back to the loop send? Loop return back to input, or to loop send? I suppose some of this might be obvious if the diagram were labelled.

As in an fx loop with the option to connect the return to the send with a taper in between. This is the schematic I based it on. I added labels, sorry about that.
