probably been done a gazillion times before, but...
if you move the output cap from the 470r/8.2k node to instead the 8.2k/c of q2 node, you will get a tremendously louder fuzzface that nigel tufnel would approve of, which can literally pummel your amp into horrible submission. i was getting octaves n stuff outta a little practice amp from driving it so hard <well, that and molesting its innards with an led and a ge diode in its clipper section>.
you could make it on a footswitch for a switchable lead boost. you could be slick about it and add a trimmer or another pot to "preset" just how loud it would be. i'd go with about a 10k pot for that, probably more than sufficient. just put it in the loop between the switch and the circuit.
to switch it, use a spdt switch. put the common to the circuit side of the output cap, and run pole 1 to the 470r/8.2k, and pole 3 to the 8.2k/c q2 connection. one way is stock fuzzface, the other what i call a fuzzface +
anyways... happy soldering and always have fun
