Title: "Arachnid 8x8" FV1 based effect
Post by: dathey on June 11, 2019, 11:51:29 PM
Now for something totally different...my first (working) FV-1 based build.

Weighing in at 275g, with dims of 1.5"x2.5"x3.5":  I call it, the 'Arachnid 8x8'.

Here's the spec's:

• PedalPCB Arachnid multifx platform
• PedalSync true bypass module
• 256k custom memory expansion module, to support up to 64 - Spin fv1-based patches.
• Battery powered with internal 9v LiPo battery (~55ma current draw)
• Custom fab'd enclosure via your's truly.

Memory expansion module utilizes 8 - 24lc32a eeproms, individually selected via the dipswitch.

My original intention was to use it, as an onboard dsp for acoustic guitar, but not so sure now.

Enjoy!

Very nice! Love that finish! Is it textured powder coat?

Looks like tolex!  (I think I can see a seam at the front edges.)

Nope, just the aluminum chassis panel from an old hp counter.

Gut shot attached
