Title: Aion Vector - power w/battery, no sound
Post by: heavynectar on May 16, 2020, 03:23:37 PM
Total nube, here and I could use some help, please. I just got done with my Aion Vector kit and it doesn't work.
- The LED lights with the battery, but there is no sound
- The LED does not light up when I plug it into an 9-volt power supply
- There is no volume in bypass mode in either case

Does this set of symptoms suggest an easy fix? I don't have a multimeter and am not technical.

Thanks in advance for your help on this.

If you are not getting bypass signal, then it has to be the jacks, the switch or the wiring in between.  What I can see of your soldering looks ok.  I suspect the switch, just because I know from experience that it doesn't take much extra heat from soldering to break them.  To check the switch properly though you will need a multimeter, or you will need to make some sort of continuity checker (usually a battery a few wires and a light (LED and resistor) will do).
