Title: Bradshaw rack ISO transformers
Post by: Buffalo Tom on May 19, 2020, 06:12:38 AM
I opened my Bradshaw rack switcher because I was curious to see which transformers he's using. I believe its a Xicon 429-7218-RC with Primary 7K and Secondary 10K. But he's wired them using the secondary as audio input! Maybe someone can confirm? Is he also reversing the phase with the wiring 1+4 black and 3+6 red?

Is this a better transformer and wiring approach than using the more common 42TM018-RC transformer (10K:10K) wired standard with primary as input? I really like the metal can on the Bradshaw transformer. Im planning to use the transformers to get isolated outputs on a multi amp switcher.

Thanks

Here is another interesting transformer I found in the Suhr Minimix. Anyone knows manufacture part nr for this transformer? Or maybe its custom made for Suhr and its not something you can buy?  :icon_rolleyes:
