Title: Splitter-Blend: Want to add footswitches
Post by: aefpv on February 01, 2021, 11:53:36 AM
I have created the Splitter- Blend (http://www.runoffgroove.com/splitter-blend.html) and got it working, but I want to take it to the next level.  I want to add two foot-switches, one for each effects loop.  I would also incorporate LEDs.

I have looked through General Guitar Gadgets wiring diagrams for the 3PDTs.  I understand how to wire the switch, but where in the Splitter-Blend's wiring should the switches be placed?  I think I am having "brain farts."

Does anyone have a good solution and where in the wiring of the pedal should the switches be placed?

Thanks.

wire the jacks like you would a PCB and wire the circuit on the places you'd wire jacks.

cheers, Iain

edit: are you working on Bread Board? if so, i have a cool schematic that has two loops and a clean blend

it does need a buffered Vbias, keep that in mind

As Iain says - it's the same as a pedal.

Not sure if I understand the question..... Do you mean two true buypass switches to switch between effect and dry for each loop? Or two switches to turn each loop of or on? In that case couldn't you use two SPDT's to send the outputs (before the blend pot) to ground? On pole to mute, the other one for the Led? As described here:  http://www.muzique.com/lab/splitter.htm, (although with an SPST switch)

If you take the output of the buffer before the send you could have a delay or reverb in the loop with trails (?). Or would that not work (or cause other unforeseen problems)?
