Title: PNP BC560a and 2N5087 circuit ideas
Post by: aefpv on May 31, 2022, 08:56:51 PM
I picked up some BC550a and 2N5087 transistors. Any suggestions for a project to use either transistor?  Any good fuzzes or other thoughts?

As always, thanks.

Any circuit that needs PNP. There are a lot of circuits that need one or more PNP transistors. Too many to mention.

All of the classics are possible but you might be stuck using a battery or a charge pump to create a positive ground.

- Big Muff several versions use PNP
- Fuzz Face silicon the original uses PNP

A couple of the Tim Escobedo circuits use some PNP devices. Push Me Pull you is an octave type fuzz.

It's always educationally informative to retrace Ray Marston's cookbooks.. :icon_wink:
