Title: Vox Modelling Amp Foot Switch
Post by: THRobinson on June 06, 2022, 03:33:32 AM
Hey guys... I have a Vox VT40X modelling amp, and was wondering, has anyone tried making a 3 or 5 button switch (ie VFS-5) for this?

If so... is it straight forward or very difficult? Are there plans available?

I have a Bandit 112 silverstripe, and I have seen 2-button diagrams for that, which looks very simple. I'm assuming the Vox will be more advanced.

It's not as trivial as a passive one but not too difficult:

You can skip about half of it if you don't need the bank switching function or its indicator.
Someone implemented it with an Arduino and PWM if you're more familiar with that: https://github.com/xurxofp/VFS5

I wish I knew how to use Arduino, I wanted to make a pickup winder for guitars and posted looking for some feedback on the Arduino forum and, well... I'll probably just manually do it instead. :D

ALL the Golden-Age pickups were wound that way.
