Title: acapulco gold schematic
Post by: Renegadrian on June 09, 2022, 09:50:25 AM
acapulco gold - there are several pictures of the schematic online, but they do have a little difference: the 1M resistor at the input. Some schems have that before the input cap, as your regular pull down resistor, other schems like this one have that resistor after the input cap, tied to the first chip. What difference would it made soundwise? which one is correct?

i'd wager the 1M before the input cap, it wouldn't do much if it were after the cap, as there's already an internal 50k resistor in there, which would be in parallel with the 1M

cheers

The input cap could be too large, leading to greater pop

I feel anything above 150nf should be Ok
