Howdy All,
I was given a junk Pignose, the little portable, with the "pignose" on the front model 7-100-(R) It has roughly a 5" speaker.
One of the two transformers on the circuit board was not soldered onto the board, and I do not know which way to orientate it. It is the larger transformer. (both sides of this transformer has 3 taps)
Anyone have a schematic or knows which way the transformer goes into the board? The larger transformer also has a red stripe on the top on one side of it, if that helps.
Also I just measured each side(ohms) The red stripe side has 1.9 ohms outer tap to outer tap, the other side is 5.1 ohms outer tap to outer tap.
Thanks!
Arn C.
I don't have it on me at the moment, but I believe it was posted around since I know I snagged it somewhere on-line.

Thank you so much! Exactly what the doctor ordered!
Peace!
Arn C.
Check your e-mail for the schematic.
Thanks Marcos!!! There was one wire where I didn't know where it went!
Thanks again!!!
Peace!
Arn C.
Could I get a copy of that too, please?
Is there a chance that I could get that schematic, too? I have some transformers for that type of amp that need a good home.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Could y'all also send a copy to
djmartins2 @ comcast.net
I searched the web and couldn't find a copy anywhere!
thanks,
DJ
Schematic sent. Hey Tubebass, I need your e-mail address.
Ahhh, I hate to say this... but I would like a copy too.
My address is good if you click on the author's name on the left.
Thanks,
Gilles
thanks again
Marcos, could I get a copy too?

Schematic sent.
Marcos, thanks for the schemo guy :)
While checking the Pignose schematic Marcos sent me, I remembered this excellent one.

I wanted to make a pcb layout for it, but ... it's still not done.I would be curious to compare it to the sound of a Pignose. I like discrete

nice link.
thanx Gilles!

I need help with a vintage pignose 7-100 r. I have worked with it enough to get sound out of it. When I received it the batteries has destroyed the majority of the existing wiring for the input & power switch/vol knob. The battery pack has been removed and would love to just leave it as a plug in amp as I do not care about the battery power nor do I want to corrode the repaired solder joints. I have photos i can supply.. I have the schematic as well, although, it confuses me, I have done guitar restores in the past
Red wire i believe was originally the battery positve.

Blue wire shows as a ground by way of volt meter.

Black wire shows as a ground by way of volt meter. Which i believe to be oringally battery ground..

This is my power switch/input side as i recieved it..

Where do these wires go!? If I use black to the top of input that is empty but has old solder on it in photo and twist the blue and red together I get sound.. although it is very low and very fuzzy.. ???
