Title: Layout and Schematic of a Boss OD-1
Post by: amonte on September 23, 2004, 04:21:14 PM
Does anybody have this?  I'd like to make some changes to my Boss OD-1.  I made a few a couple months back, but lost the schematic and layout.  I want to add a bit more bass and maybe slightly more distortion.

Thanks!  Anyone got a diagram or recommended mods?

Same mods apply since the circuits are virtually identical.

Didn't realize these were so closely related - my OD-1 sounds very weak and thin compared to a Tubescreamer.

Anyone got a diagram?  whatdaya say, CD - can you go 3 for 3?   :D

Just look at the schematic and tweak the values to your heart's content.  There's really not much that isn't covered in the Tubescreamer article.  I would get started by replacing the .0047uf cap with something larger, say .1uf.  That will bring the bass response up, but it may muddy the tone as well.
