Title: Maestro Transistor question
Post by: jimmy54 on February 16, 2006, 12:33:01 PM
Hi fellas,

I'm going to build the Maestro FZ-1 using the vero layout below.

I have some AC128 G9(?)' s and I'm wondering what the transistor placement is on this layout.  Anyone got an idea?

I'm assuming the transistor pin layout is as shown below, left image (as my transistors have the flange).

Looks about right.  There are several different circuits for the FZ series, the 1, 1a, 1b (rev 1), 1b (rev 2), and 1s.  All sound different.  Think that schematic is the first one, they added some resistors for the 1a to fix some biasing issues.  Cool ciruit, usually wants a humbucker to really sound great.
