Title: Finishing up my first build, could use some help with true bypass
Post by: joelap on February 18, 2006, 10:17:15 PM
Hey all, could someone tell me how I'd go about using a 3PDT for true bypass for this circuit?  I'm completely confused.  Just curious where to solder where, like the 1-9 of the 3PDT and where it would go?

I've got a stereo in jack and DC adaptor, Battery adaptor, mono in jack, and I'm using an LED if it helps.

Also, if you could tell me why it goes there, that way I'll understand so I wont have to trouble you all again I'd really appreciate it!

Pretty complicated for a first build  :icon_eek:

This is one way:

There's an alternate wiring where you ground the effect IN when bypassed.

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

connect signal IN to 1 and to 8
Effect IN to 4
Effect OUT to 2
signal OUT to 5
connect 7 to ground.
