Title: Help me Tweak the tone on my buddies Sovtek Mig 60
Post by: $uperpuma on June 26, 2006, 05:38:21 PM
My buddy recently lost his job and is a little bummed so I figured what better way to cheer him up than surprise him with a nice stompbox and make his tone better than ever? The amp is a single channel amp, and he LOVES the dirty sound he gets from it when he cranks it, but he has need of the clean sound too... he wants a booster to keep on all the time, bringing his clean sound to the brink of dirt on the neck pickup of his Gibson Nighthawk.. so what would you guys suggest to push the amp past the boosted clean sound to distortion when switched to the bridge pickup?  I am wanting to pair the two in the same box for him... any and all suggestions are much appreciated!

I've got a Mig 50 and I love boosting it with Jack Ormans Minibooster. Simply and nice,,,, also Aron's Minibooster 2 http://geofex.com/PCB_layouts/Layouts/mb2.pdf
