I finally got around to cracking open some of the old car audio eqipment that a Car Audio installer accumulates over the years, some stuff that I'll never use in my car, stuff that doesn't work, etc... and there are some great parts in here jrc3028's surface mount 4558's and a mess of tl074's Anyone have some projects a guy could do with these chips? just a quad opamp, right? looking at the data sheet, it seems fairly simple... maybe this is the time to learn how some of this stuff actually works.. all suggestions welcome

Easyvibe maybe (at least I remember seeing a layout for quad opamps)? a graphic EQ? anything where you need a lot of opamps basically
I guess I answered my own question...I was looking for a phaser project to do...Dann's 4MS Phaseur Fleur uses two 074's thats'll work just fine...
You can use those TL074s anywhere an opamp is needed. You can "park" any unused opamps in the package by connecting the output to the negative input and the positive input to VREF. The only downside to having extra opamps around is that they consume a couple of mA each as they just sit there.
You can do a lot with four opamps. :icon_biggrin:
Is the LM324 too noisy for audio applications?
I picked a couple up at one of my nearby closing rat-shacks...wondering what to do with them.

I also got a couple quad comparators (LM339) - can I do anything with these?

Doesn't one of the acoustic simulator projects use TL074's??
The Woody maybe??
that might be a fun one... where can I find some info on it?
