i dont have access to a laser printer and need to finish up some projects for a friend.
im only looking for about 2 sheets worth printed.
can anyone help me out.

Unless the traces are too thin or too close together, or both, you can probably do what you want to do on simple glossy photo paper at any photocopy place. PnP is probably essentially for anything that requires fine resolution, but 90% of the stuff here does not fit that category.
I can buy 10 sheets for a buck at the dollar store and it works fine, so unless you absolutely need PnP for cosmetic reasons.....
If you lack the laser printer, print the stuff out on inkjet or whatever. Cut the patterns out of the printed sheets, and tape them together on a single letter-sized sheet, making sure you have multiples of whatever you want a layout for (be ready to botch at least one of everything). bring it to the photocopy place nearest you and ask them to print it out on a B&W photocopier onto glossy photopaper. That should not cost you more than $1. Unless they are real jerks, they will only charge you for copies that come out well, but make sure they crank the contrast up a bit to get a thick toner layer on. That's it. You're done.
Edit: Almost forgot. Because paper is thicker than PnP, the normal indicators that you have successfully transferred the pattern are a little different. PnP will show a very low-profile pattern raised a bit off the surface (the toner layer is thicker than the acetate backing, so when the sheet is successfully ironed on the pattern will seem to stick out against the non-tonered areas). because paper is thicker, you'll iron until it seems like a shiny version of the PCB pattern emerges on the back of the paper where you ironed. That is, it won't be raised. rather you will see the places where it is thicker because they have rubbed against the iron more.

Aren't there copy shops that have laser printers? Around here it's pretty cheap to print like that...
