Steve Conner at the revamped Ampage posted this: http://www.profusionplc.com/cgi-bin/gex/pcatdtl?ipartno=AL3201-RVB

Thought others would find it of interest.

Title: Daughter-Verb
Post by: puretube on November 04, 2006, 03:30:05 PM
in the meantime...
while waiting for the "Spins",
I found a new challenge with those spare 3-chip sets:

making up a "daughter"-chip on a DIP-14 footprint carrier:
the 3 chips on 3 tiny sandwich-PCBs mounted vertically;
to be treated like a "normal" drop-in verb-IC:
pins 1/2: ana-in L
        3/4: ana-in R
        5: V+
        6/7/8/9 encoder
      10: GND
      11/12: ana-out R
      13/14: ana-out L

about half an inch height...

nice challenge - single sided.

:icon_biggrin:

8 to 14 ana-out

that last line needed to deleted...

but anyway: it`ll gonna be a DIP-16, due to the quartz size...

those 2 extra pins will outboard the crystal to the main board,
and/or enables the chance for an external clock  :icon_wink:
